HISTORY:
The Natural Heavy Mineral Spa Water, MEBA, was found in the year 1969 at a depth of 450 feet, as an Artesian Spring, 15 miles away from Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus, while a drilling machine was searching for ordinary water. This unusual black mineral, salty, oily water, with a strong smell of hydrogen sulphide was proved by scientists of the Czechoslovakian Research Hydrology Institute and the Bulgarian Research Health Institute of Medical Academy, very suitable for a wide range of therapeutic and beauty purposes. Cyprus Labs, accredited by the European Union, have recently analysed MEBA Spa Mineral Water, demonstrating the same excellent composition.
CLASSIFICATION OF THE WATER:
The Natural Heavy Mineral Spa Water, MEBA, is hypothermic, with high mineralization, rich in sulphide, silicium, iodine-brume, chloride-sodium ions with alkali reaction. Very valuable properties are the combination of hydrosulphide and chloride-sodium components, as well as the presence of matasalicilic acid, iron, iodine and brume that give great possibilities to cure many diseases. Due to the composition of MEBA Spa Water, its mineral extracts act on the human organism as modifiers of the biological ground. In hot baths, it releases at the level of the nerve extremities and the teguments generally (everything which covers the human body, skin, hair and their constituents) the bio-active elements of minerals, sulphur, iodine, ferrous, chloride-natrium and gases etc, which stimulate the natural defences of the body. They penetrate the body by endosmosis through the skin and its mucous barrier. The mineral water is useful for external application (baths, showers and basin), compresses and for internal applications (inhalation, intestinal irrigation). Before drinking the water must be diluted to final concentration of the salts 5-6 mg/ml.
